About Mustang 5.0L Accessories

1986-1993 Mustang 5.0L Accessories.


Accufab has several optional accessories to help adapt an Accufab 5.0L Ford style throttle body to be used with GM electronics instead of Ford electronics. For example, we offer a TPS adapter to use your GM TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) or an IAC (Idle Air Control) adapter to use your GM IAC . If you need to relocate the IAC or block it off all together, we have developed parts to help accomplish these goals.

 

Moreover, Accufab offers spacers, cable brackets and gaskets.  Please note, all of our 5.0L style throttle bodies include the necessary gaskets.  If you need additional gaskets or accessories, follow the instructions below.

 

First, choose the size of your throttle body and the corresponding accessories will show.  Also, an image will appear when you select the product. 

 

Available Accessories:

2" EGR Spacer -  is 2" thick and has vacuum tubes, water passages and provisions to mount the stock cable bracket.  Includes two throttle body gaskets and one EGR gasket.

 

2" Blank Spacer - is 2" thick and is solid aluminum (no water passages and no vacuum tubes) and has provisions to mount the stock cable bracket.  Includes two throttle body gaskets.

 

3/8" Cable Bracket - is 3/8" thick and is solid aluminum (no water passages and no vacuum tubes) and has provisions to mount the stock cable bracket.  Includes two throttle body gaskets.

 

TPS Sensor - This is an OEM style relpacement throttle position sensor.  Our part number TPS1015 is for the 1986-1993 5.0L throttle body and our part number TPS1062 is for the 1996-2004 4.6L throttle body.  Includes TPS and attachment screws.

IAC Block Off Plate - For race vehicles that do not require a factory Idle Air Control motor, Accufab's IAC block off plate is a handy addition. Includes plate, gasket and attachment screws.

IAC Relocation Adapter - This simple adapter allows the factory IAC to be remounted to any location, primarily for custom intake manifolds that might not be equipped with the standard IAC attachment point.  Includes adapter, IAC gasket and attachment screws.

GM Early Style IAC Adapter - Our part number IACGM-1 allows an early "threaded" style GM IAC to be mounted on any Ford 5.0L style (65mm through 105mm) throttle body.  Includes adapter & IAC gasket.

GM Late Style IAC Adapter - Our part number IACGM-2 allows a late "push-in" style GM IAC to be mounted on any Ford 5.0L style (65mm through 105mm) throttle body.  Includes adapter & IAC gasket.
 
Throttle Position Sensor Adapter, Late GM to Ford -  This adapter allows a GM style TPS to be attached to any Ford 5.0L style (65mm through 105mm) throttle body.
 

Unless otherwise noted, each Gasket Kit includes two throttle body gaskets, one IAC gasket and one EGR gasket.
