Accufab's 105mm throttle body is the largest diameter throttle body available for use on the1986-1993 Ford 5.0L Mustang.  Our products are made from high quality billet aluminum, no castings or coatings!  Each billet part is CNC machined and then the exterior aluminum is polished to a mirror finish.  The shafts are CNC machined from stainless steel, the throttle blade is brass and we use only the best bearings, bushings, screws and other component parts available.

The 105mm throttle body features a split shaft design which helps prevent the shaft from breaking under intense pressure.

Also, the throttle body is available in two versions:

1. Standard Race version for use with 4.5" hose/tubing and standard hose clamps or

2. MAX version for use with a 4.5" Accufab Clamp and matching ferrule.

Both throttle body versions measure 105mm at the blade and each has a 4.5" inlet.  There is no vacuum elbow and 4.5" tubing is required.  Also, the 105mm cable bracket is solid aluminum and is 3/8" thick with provisions to mount the stock cable bracket only.

Standard Race version or MAX version?  Ask yourself, "How would I prefer to connect my hose to my throttle body?"  If your answer is, "with a standard hose and hose clamps" then you would use our part number F105 which is our standard throttle body with a small lip on the inlet which will allow you to slip your hose over the throttle body and then clamp it down with hose clamps. 

However, if you would rather have a more secure connection with the use of an Accufab clamp, then you would use our part number F105MAX*.  Which brings us to your next question:  " What is a MAX throttle body anyway?"

Simply, it's a 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L style throttle body with a unique twist.  Instead of the opening having a small lip on it, the MAX has a ferrule machined into the throttle body design which will allow the use of an Accufab clamp to connect the tubing to the throttle body.  All parts are sold separately.  When using our MAX throttle body, coupled with our clamshell clamp assembly, every enthusiast will achieve:

Furthermore, our clamps are designed to accommodate multiple sized tubing found on most blower or turbo applications and will withstand 60 pounds of boost!  An Accufab Clamp has several important features which make it an extremely useful connector for race applications. First, the clamp can be removed and/or re-installed with the quick release pin.  This is accomplished without tools, just your fingers.  There are no hoses to “stretch” over the tubing or throttle body.  There are no hose clamps to unscrew or retighten.  The use of our clamp can eliminate wasted time between rounds.  You can now work on your engine rather than working on trying to get the tubing on and off.  Furthermore, the clamp, inner sleeve & ferrules are CNC machined from the highest quality billet aluminum.

New Product!!!  Recently available is our Transitional Ferrule, available in 2 versions.  The first measures 3" where the tubing meets and is welded to the ferrule.  The 3" gradually transitions open to a 4" ferrule for use with a 4" clamp.  The second measures 4" where the tubing meets and is welded to the ferrule and gradually transitions open to a 4.5" ferrule to be used with our 4.5" clamp.  These ferrules are taller than usual, see last two pictures below.

Accufab has several accessories to help adapt an Accufab 5.0L Ford style throttle body to be used with GM electronics instead of Ford electronics.  For example, we offer a TPS adapter to use your GM TPS or an IAC adapter to use your GM IAC. 

We also have available throttle position sensors and if you need to relocate the IAC or block it off all together, we have developed parts to help accomplish these goals.

Basic Information:

• Each throttle body is sold individually and includes one throttle body gasket and one IAC gasket.
• A 3/8" Cable Bracket is 3/8" thick and is solid aluminum (no water passages and no vacuum tubes) and has provisions to mount the stock cable bracket and includes two throttle body gaskets.
• Each Gasket Kit includes two throttle body gaskets and one IAC gasket.
• A Race version throttle body does not have a vacuum elbow and the exact mm size is measured at the blade.  However, the 105mm has a 4.5" inlet or opening.  A fabricated hose or tube from the filter or supercharger is required to fit over the 4.5" inlet, which we do not manufacture. 
• Each 5.0L throttle body & cable bracket spacer have a bolt pattern that is measured 3.5" bolt center to bolt center square.
• All clamps are sold separately.  Each clamp assembly includes the clamp, inner sleeve and locking pin.
